About St Francis Group

St Francis Group was founded in 1991 by John Hodgkin (BVM&S MRCVS), who was then a practising veterinary surgeon, with the aim of using the joint purchasing volume of individual veterinary practices to improve manufacturer discounts.

In addition, using a bespoke IT system, St Francis Group was able to further support members with monthly reports to help them maximise purchasing benefits and reduce administration.

Over the years the group has steadily grown its member base and portfolio of manufacturers' terms whilst retaining its guiding principle of saving our members both time and money.

Our approach has always been to offer unobtrusive support, providing our members with valuable information and excellent terms across a wide range of suppliers, leaving practices with the freedom to buy the products they favour.

Since April 2010, John has been supported by Nick Park (BVetMed MRCVS), a practising Veterinary Surgeon based in Northamptonshire.

The combined experience of John and Nick in the veterinary industry and our longstanding relationships with manufacturers and suppliers ensure that St Francis Group members continue to enjoy the savings and supportive service that have been our focus since 1991.
